I've heard from my Pastor in my Church talking about Jealousy.
WHAT CAN JEALOUSY DO?
It can destroy relationships. Have you ever been jealous about your loved ones?
I have. I was jealous of my best friend's scores for her test, even rejoiced when she did worse than me. Even when i loved her, i was still jealous of her.
And if i allowed this jealousy to take over me, our friendship would have ended because of that.
So, do not ever allow jealousy to overcome you. Its normal to have jealousy within you, but do not let it control you. Instead, you control it.
My suggestion is, you try to find joy in the success of your loved ones. Celebrate with them, rejoice with them. And work hard not because of competing, but to do your best! And show love to them that friends are more important than competitions through your actions. Even if you get the first prize, but have no friends, there is no meaning to it.
If you really love them and do not want to lose them, then remember to never surrender to the Jealousy in you! Like what Jiaying mentioned, Love shouldn't hurt. But jealousy will hurt your friends and yourself.
