I was wondering what should blog about. So i decided to share my opinion about
LOVE.I think love is boring. It is not that i do not love my family & friends,i do.
But when you love someone, you would have to sacrifice a lot for them & make
them happy,it also takes a lot of strength & determination to continue loving them.
When we do not have love, nothing matters at all and we would do whatever we want
without having to think about others.
For all i care.
But in a way, having love in our lives prevents from doing wrong, sometimes, and
transform us into selfless people.LOVE may be boring but one day,we will come to
realize what love have done for us

How did you spend your time with your father last sunday on Fathers' day?

Last sunday, it was fathers'day! Instead of going for dinner at exquisite restaurants, my father decided to bring us to West Coast park. I noticed a smile he was wearing as he saw my sister and i riding our bicycle:)

After that we went to macdonals for dinner! I know my father hated macdonals but on that day, he decided to eat macdonals because my sister wanted to eat.

Over the table, we ate and said several jokes. My father was so happy:) i saw him laughing over and over again! There was one particular joke that was not as funny as the rest and my sister repeated it over and over again, each time, my father never failed to laugh! HAHA!

I could see that he really enjoyed his time although we did not have expensive dinners but just a small dinner in front of a small table. That has shown me that to make a person feel loved, it does not require you to spend hundreds of dollars or thousand of dollars. Maybe a simple " I love You " that really meant from your heart could also leave a memorable day for your father. That day, my father really enjoyed his time with us:)

I have just came back from my camp and had a lot of new experiences.

I realised how can a small action touches someone.
A encouraging remark like, "Well done!", can motivate someone.

I met a lot of new friends, some of them lent their help to one another, allowing me understand how love can overcomes selfishness and other things else.

Love do not comes from anywhere, but in our hearts.

And devotions, Quiet times and worship in the camp had allowed me discovered more things like,

My camp theme song:
let there be love shared among us
let there be love in our eyes
may now your love sweep this nation
cause us oh lord, to arise
give us a fresh understanding
of brotherly love that is real
let there be love shared among us

let there be love
(this song and performances done by fellow camp mates allowed me to understand that love is like the cement that sticks the bricks-which is us- bond us all together)

and,

Luke 10:25-37 (New International Version)

The Parable of the Good
Samaritan
25On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus.
"Teacher," he asked, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?"
26"What is
written in the Law?" he replied. "How do you read it?"

27He answered: "
'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all
your strength and with all your mind'[a]; and, 'Love your neighbor as
yourself.'[b]"

28"You have answered correctly," Jesus replied. "Do this
and you will live."

29But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked
Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?"

30In reply Jesus said: "A man was going
down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he fell into the hands of robbers. They
stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. 31A
priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he
passed by on the other side. 32So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and
saw him, passed by on the other side. 33But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came
where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. 34He went to him
and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own
donkey, took him to an inn and took care of him. 35The next day he took out two
silver coins[c] and gave them to the innkeeper. 'Look after him,' he said, 'and
when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.'

36"Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell
into the hands of robbers?"

37The expert in the law replied, "The one
who had mercy on him."
Jesus told him, "Go and do likewise."

There are many songs, poem and books written about love. But some of them
are non-committal love. Some people would believe that that if they get involve
in BGR,they would experience love. But they have not realise that their families
and friends have already given them a lot of love.If the person they are having a relationship with have unconditional love/sacrificial for them, then thats great.
Conditional love is when the PERSON says to,"if you don't do this,it means you don't love me."And may lead us into destruction

Mother Theresa...

Peace Maker, Pioneer, Legend.

Mother Teresa was born Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu in Skopje, Macedonia, on August 26, 1910. At the age of twelve, she felt strongly the call of God. She knew she had to be a missionary to spread the love of Christ thus at the age of eighteen, she left her parental home in Skopje and joined the Sisters of Loreto, an Irish community of nuns with missions in India. After a few months' training in Dublin she was sent to India, where she took her initial vows as a nun. From 1931 to 1948 Mother Teresa had taught at St. Mary's High School in Calcutta, but the suffering and poverty she glimpsed outside the convent walls made such a deep impression on her that in 1948, she received permission from her superiors to leave the convent school and devote herself to working among the poorest of the poor in the slums of Calcutta. Although she had no funds, she depended on Divine Providence, and started an open-air school for slum children. Soon she was joined by voluntary helpers, and financial support was also forthcoming. This made it possible for her to extend the scope of her work. Love and concern from her to those who had nobody to be taken care of had made her receive a number of awards and distinctions, of that includes the Nobel Peace Prize (1979), the Pope John XXIII Peace Prize (1971) and the Nehru Prize for her promotion of international peace and understanding (1972). She had also received the Balzan Prize (1979) and the Templeton and Magsaysay awards.

And she once said....

"Keep the joy of loving the poor and share this joy with all you meet. Remember works of love are works of Peace. God Bless you."

To me, Love is sharing what you have with others. When you get back your results recently, when you score better than your close friends, do you notice something? do you notice that they feel disappointed in their own results? thats is exactly what i realised and noticed.. although i got results that are above my expectations, i really didnt feel happy when my friend felt sad. what should i do?

When she called me after her Parent-Teacher meeting, she told me that her father looked very disappointed and in actual fact, he is quite disappointed... at that instance, i said this " dont worry, from now on if you dont understand anything, you can ask me, i will stay back and teach you. " after i hung up, i thought through what i said, i realised its an act out of love. Love can make us do things that are unexpected! Love is miraculous!

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

-1 Corinthians 13:4-8
